Allergic cough is more common during the winter months. According to doctors, due to the drop in temperature, pollutants and allergens are not able to get removed from the air, which leads to asthma, allergic rhinitis and other allergic disorders. Coughing is also triggered by sudden changes in temperature and cold.
Both viral and bacterial infections can cause complications in people with lung or liver disease, heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or asthma. In such a situation, if the high fever persists for more than two days, then the doctor should be consulted immediately.
